In this role, you will identify operational challenges, design practical solutions, and lead implementation efforts that improve visibility, consistency, and execution across multiple engineering disciplines. Areas of focus may include resource management, workforce planning, engineering systems, organizational development, reporting and analytics, onboarding, training, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy solving complex organizational problems, influencing cross-functional teams, and building scalable operating models that enable technical teams to perform at their highest level.
What You’ll Do
Core Responsibilities:

Develop and implement resource management, capacity planning, and workforce forecasting processes across multiple engineering teams and programs.
Analyze organizational performance data and identify opportunities to improve utilization, delivery effectiveness, staffing efficiency, onboarding, training, and overall operational execution.
Serve as the primary owner for engineering operational improvement initiatives, driving improvement initiative projects from concept through implementation and adoption.
Develop operational dashboards, metrics, and reporting structures that provide leadership with visibility into workforce performance, capacity, demand, and organizational health.
Partner with engineering leadership, program leadership, project management, and operations teams to identify risks, remove organizational barriers, and improve cross-functional coordination.
Evaluate and improve engineering tools, workflows, and business systems to support scalable growth.
Build and mature future engineering operations capabilities, including resource coordination, workforce planning, and operational support functions.
Lead special projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of engineering leadership as organizational needs evolve.
Collaboration & Communication:
Coordinate with engineering, project delivery, operations, and leadership teams to align priorities, staffing strategies, and operational objectives.
Facilitate discussions involving competing priorities, resource constraints, and organizational tradeoffs.
Communicate operational risks, recommendations, and improvement opportunities clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
Build alignment across teams and drive adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working.
Quality, Safety & Process
Adhere to company policies, QMS requirements, and established safety standards.
Deliver accurate, high-quality results with strong attention to detail.
Develop and maintain processes that improve consistency, visibility, accountability, and execution quality across the engineering organization.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement through measurement, feedback, and disciplined problem-solving.
Ensure operational processes support quality project delivery, employee development, and sustainable organizational growth.
People Leadership
Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to assigned engineering operations personnel, resource coordinators, analysts, or support staff.
Establish priorities and objectives for operational support functions.
Support the development of future operational capabilities, tools, and organizational structures required to meet business growth objectives.
Influence and guide leaders across the organization without relying solely on formal authority.
