Job Summary:
Drive profitable growth by acquiring, expanding, and retaining Life Sciences accounts that require validated automation solutions, while acting as a trusted partner to ensure compliance, technical excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or Business (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience of account management for life sciences accounts (automation sales preferred)
- Familiarity with validated systems, project execution lifecycle, and GMP requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Revenue Generation:
Generate $3–5M in annual sales within 18 months by identifying and closing new automation projects with pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
- Account Expansion:
Expand strategic accounts by 10%-15% YoY through delivery of value-aligned solutions.
- Pipeline Development:
Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of $10M+ in Life Sciences opportunities within the first 12 months.
- Customer Satisfaction:
Maintain customer satisfaction through proactive communication, value delivery, and issue resolution.
- Strategic Account Management:
Develop and execute account plans for key clients, aligning with their capital projects, technology roadmaps, and compliance requirements.
- Collaboration & Execution:
Work cross-functionally with technical estimating and project delivery team members to ensure proposals are technically sound, compliant, and effectively solve customer needs.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Industry Expertise:
Deep knowledge of automation systems in regulated environments (e.g., cGMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11). Familiar with platforms such as DeltaV, Rockwell, Siemens, or similar.
- Consultative Selling:
Adept at uncovering customer pain points and crafting solutions that align with regulatory, technical, and business needs.
- Relationship Building:
Proven ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with engineering, operations, and procurement leaders in Life Sciences companies.
- Results-Oriented:
Track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Business Acumen:
Understands how automation drives ROI, risk reduction, and compliance in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
- Communication Skills:
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills; able to translate technical value into business outcomes.
- Team Player:
Collaborates effectively across functions and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Travel required:
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Work Authorization/Other Requirements:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located is required.
- Maintain a valid drivers license.
