Compensation: $85,000 - $120,000 per year + Annual Bonus Eligibility
Travel: Up to 20% or as required by project assignments

The Opportunity

The Site Safety Manager – Mission Critical Construction leads jobsite safety programs supporting complex construction and automation projects. This role ensures compliance with safety regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture across project teams and subcontractors.

Working closely with Thermo project leadership, subcontractors, and corporate safety teams, this position implements safety programs, conducts inspections, and helps ensure all field activities meet company standards and regulatory requirements.

This role is ideal for professionals who value accountability, leadership, and hands-on safety management in high-impact construction environments.

What You’ll Do

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage jobsite safety activities in alignment with Thermo Systems safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain site-specific safety plans and emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, and Daily Hazard Analyses (DHA) to identify potential hazards.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, compliance records, and reporting.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Coordinate with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and corporate safety leadership to ensure safety compliance.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with internal teams, customers, and project stakeholders regarding safety performance.
  • Identify and escalate hazards, compliance issues, or operational risks early to project leadership.
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions to promote jobsite awareness and accountability.

Quality, Safety & Process

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E standards, and customer safety requirements.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through training and hazard awareness initiatives.
  • Deliver accurate safety documentation and ensure proper incident reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve jobsite safety processes and risk mitigation.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
    • Typically 5+ years of safety leadership experience on construction or industrial job sites.
    • Experience supporting multi-contractor construction projects preferred.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Experience implementing jobsite safety programs and compliance initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, hazard mitigation, and incident investigation.
  • CHST, CSP, STSC, or NFPA 70E certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence safety culture across trades.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to manage priorities in high-pressure field environments.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and accountability.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate for future project assignments as business needs evolve.
